COURSE SUMMARY

One never knows if such an event will happen in your hometown. This course could make a big difference in someone’s life, even yours!

Active shooter incidents and their response pose several unique concerns for all facets of public- safety. There are numerous issues that make responding to an active shooter incident more complex than other armed subject calls or, violent in-progress incidents. In addition, these types of incidents have historically garnered extensive media coverage and public scrutiny and have become a pertinent threat to public safety.

This course provides key insight to telecommunications professionals and law enforcement officers what key and rapidly unfolding issues can occur to be better prepared for such incidents. There is never an exact similar situation nor is this event “routine”. It is filled with extreme emotions and rush of adrenaline and constant training like this course can greatly assist the responding professionals to understand better the mind of an Active-Shooter and mentally prepare as best one can for such an event.

Each online course is developed from an 8-hour classroom-based curriculum. The average length of our online courses is 90 to 120 minutes.
